The city of Hilversum would like to see more citizen involvement in the various issues facing the city. This involves new ways of getting residents interested in subjects they have not been attracted to so far. Think about stimulating sustainability or improving the living environment. How can the local government inspire or activate citizens to get involved?
If you think you have the solution, take part in the Media City Innovation Challenge! Hilversum is the Media City of the Netherlands and therefore we are specifically looking for solutions that use innovative media technology to reach, engage and connect with citizens.
This can be done through new forms of content creation and distribution, the use of AI to analyze and present user data and the application of AR and synthetic media. But there are of course many other applications of mediatech.
Solutions must be submitted by October 1, 2021. We will then make a selection of the most promising solutions and then ask the submitters to provide further information about their solution.
From the submitted solutions, we will invite 10 companies to come and pitch their solution at the end of November at the City Hall of the Municipality of Hilversum. You will have the opportunity to present your solutions to experts from the municipality of Hilversum and engage in a discussion with them. A maximum of 3 companies will be invited to carry out a pilot with the municipality. A total amount of € 15,000 is available for pilots. The 10 selected entries will be guided and advised by innovation brokers Bert Kok and Rick van Dijk.
We are open to all solutions, but aim for companies with proven technology and an existing customer base. It is possible to submit joint proposals.
